The establishment of Wanita Berdaya Selangor (WBS) was inspired in 2020 to realize the Selangor Women’s Policy to empower women through three (3) main thrusts, namely the Think Tank, Capacity Building and Women’s Empowerment Program. The Selangor state government’s 13 -year commitment in empowering women was manifested through the initiative to establish the Center for Empowered Women (formerly known as the Women’s Community Center), the Institute for Empowered Women and the Women’s Leadership Academy. WBS’s ambition and aspiration is to be a leader in women’s and community empowerment that is recognized internationally and leading in the following sector; Leadership, Education, Family, Economics, Health and Social.
