YAWAS was established to support the Selangor State Government’s agenda under the program “Merakyatkan Ekonomi Selangor”. Its main objective is to create, promote and administer funds for the benefits and welfare of the ‘rakyat’ of Selangor who was born and registered in Selangor from 1 January 2008, through Tabung Warisan Anak Selangor.
